Habas orders new generation slab reheating furnace
Leading Turkish flat and long steelmaker Habas has ordered a new slab reheating furnace for its hot strip mill located in Izmir, Kallanish notes.
The features of this new reheating furnace include a flat roof profile, side burners only, high convection inside furnace, recuperative zone length adjusted to production, and low exhaust temperatures. Also included are optimum heating curves, optimised transient stages, and flame length adjustment.
