Hebei specifies steel capacity cut targets for 2018
China’s Hebei province has detailed more than 10 million tonnes/year of steel capacity elimination targets for 2018 by city and company in its provincial 2018-2020 steel capacity elimination plan. Around 11.6m t/y of iron and 11.7m t/y of steel capacity in total are targeted for removal this year, Kallanish notes.
