Hebei reveals extent of 2019-20 steelmaking capacity closures
The governor of Hebei province Xu Qin confirmed at a State Council press conference that Hebei will remove 14 million tonnes/year of backward steel capacity both this year and next. It intends therefore to limit total steel capacity to within 200m t/y by the end of 2020.
