Hangang closes blast furnace

Handan Steel (Hangang), part of Hebei Iron & Steel (Hegang), in northern China's Hebei province is reported to have closed one blast furnace at its steel plant on 31 August. This is mainly due to the provincial requirements on capacity eliminations and pollution reduction, Kallanish notes.
