Hegang to operate Leting plant in July
Hebei Iron & Steel's new coastal steel base in Leting (Laoting) is expected to start production in the first phase of the project in July this year, according to the 2019 work report of the Leting County People's Government.
Hegang's Tanggang, Xuanhua Steel, Wuyang Steel and Chende Steel have to close 9.15 million tonnes/year of iron capacity and 9.34m t/y of steel capacity for the Leting project, Kallanish notes.
