EU coil contracts see higher prices in January

Some negotiations for annual contracts between northwestern European coil mills and the automotive industry are still dragging on, and it appears that mills are gaining some advantage in more recent deals. In November, when talks were about to start, buyers indicated they wanted a reduction of at least €100/tonne ($109) compared with last year’s contracts.
