Hoa Phat posts after-tax loss in Q3
Vietnam's leading steelmaker Hoa Phat Group has seen shrinking revenue and after-tax profits due to weak steel demand and surging raw material prices. Meanwhile, tightened credit and rising exchange rate and interest rates are also dragging down the steelmaker's performance, Kallanish notes.
