Hoa Phat’s production and sales rise in May
Vietnam's leading steel producer Hoa Phat Group has seen a continued recovery in its steel production and sales in May.
This past May, Hoa Phat produced 565,000 tonnes of crude steel, up from 525,000t in April but still 27% less than a year earlier. Total crude steel production in the January-May period fell 36% to 2.34 million tonnes, Kallanish notes.
