Hot-rolled bar imports to the US decline
Imports of hot-rolled bar to the US fell during July from at least a two-year high in the prior month, Kallanish learns from steel import data collected by the US Department of Commerce.
According to Census data collected through 1 September, imports of hot-rolled bars to the US totaled 61,001 tonnes in July. Imports for the month fell from a high of 71,086t in June, which marked at least a two-year high for US hot-rolled bar imports.
