Hyundai maintains bid prices for Japanese scrap
South Korea’s Hyundai Steel has maintained its bid price for Japanese scrap this week, Kallanish understands.
The mill placed a bid at JPY 55,000/tonne ($497/t) for shredded grade scrap, JPY 56,000/t for HS grade scrap and JPY 57,000/t for Shindachi Bara scrap in its auction which closed on 23 June. These are the same bid prices as those in its auction which closed on 17 June. It also bid for bushelling bundled scrap at JPY 58,000/t.
