Hyundai Steel reduces Japanese scrap purchase prices
South Korea’s Hyundai Steel has cut its bid price for all grades of Japanese scrap, Kallanish notes. Its latest bid prices were JPY 1,000/tonne ($9/t) lower than the previous week for all grades with the exception of Shindachi grade which the mill bid JPY 500/t lower.
