Hyundai Steel second-quarter income beats expectations
In the second quarter, Hyundai Steel reported earnings growth that beat market expectations, due to higher sales prices and improved operating profit margins, according to its quarterly financial report.
During the period, the company produced 4.869 million tonnes of steel, which rose 3.2% from the March quarter and 4.6% year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Blast furnace-based output contributed about 59% of total production.
