Hyundai strike impacts rolling mills
South Korea’s Hyundai Steel has been hit by strikes. Strikes at five facilities across the company’s plants began on 13 January and ended a day later, Kallanish notes.
The company’s blast furnaces have not been affected as a core of workers have remained to sustain operations. The impact on rolling facilities has not been specified. Although output is believed to have been affected, the shortfall could be made up as workers return.
