Icdas raises domestic rebar prices as lira depreciates
Turkey's Icdas has continued to raise its prices of rebar for the domestic market this week as the Turkish lira reached new record lows against the US dollar, Kallanish notes.
The scrap-based long steelmaker now offers its 12-32mm, 10mm and 8mm rebar at TRY 2,820/tonne ($658/t), TRY 2,830/t and TRY 2,840/t, effective 7 May. This is up by TRY 100/t over the last week, when the prices were raised by TRY 30/t.
