Imports continue falling in US during August
Steel imports to the US continued to decline in August, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Monthly import permit applications fell by 11.4% in August to 2.61 million short tons. Of the monthly total, import permit applications for finished steel product fell by 1.9% from July to 2.04m st in August.
