Moody's sees India as 'brightest spot' in Asia
India will be “…the brightest spot” in Asia over the next 12-18 months, with the country’s steel consumption rising at least 5.5-6% per year, tracking strong Gdp growth of 7.3-7.5%, according to Moody’s.
Indian steelmakers have only marginal exposure to the US and its tariffs. Their indirect exposure may also be limited given most sales are to domestic automotive and manufacturing companies, the credit rating agency says.
