India consumption growth to moderate in FY25: ICRA

Indian steel consumption growth will decelerate to 7-8% year-on-year in the fiscal year ending March 2025 (FY25), giving 140 million tonnes, Indian credit rating agency ICRA forecasts. This is in sharp contrast to ICRA’s FY24 steel consumption growth estimate of 12-13% y-o-y to 120mt, Kallanish notes.
