Indian budget allocates increased public steel producer spending
India has allocated INR 12,637.71 crores ($1.88 billion) of spending to public sector steel producers in its budget for the fiscal year through March 2018 (FY18), up 9% on the previous year’s forecasted expenditure.
The biggest beneficiary will be Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (Vizag Steel), which is set to see a 38% on-year increase in spending to INR 1,891.65 crores. NMDC is budgeted to receive 32% more spending at INR 5,174 crores. Steel Authority of India&rsqu…
