Indian domestic coil market stagnates ahead of election
Indian domestic traders say the domestic hot and cold rolled coil market is stagnant ahead of the general election, which is expected to begin later this month. It will be held between 19 April and 1 June, Kallanish notes.
Domestic HRC offer prices were heard at INR 52,000/tonne ($623.77/t) ex-Mumbai for E250 grade. This is an on-week drop of INR 750/t. CRC offers were heard at INR 61,500/t ex-Mumbai for IS513 Grade O, an on-week drop of INR 500/t.
