India's coal mine auctions attract major steelmaker bids
India's auction of commercial coal mines has attracted bids from major steel companies such as Tata Steel, JSW Steel, and Sunflag Steel, Kallanish notes.
On 20 February, the Ministry of Coal opened bids for the ninth round and second attempt of the seventh round of commercial coal mines’ auction, launched on 20 December 2023.
