Cheaper raw materials boost India’s FY24 DRI production
Indian direct reduced iron, or sponge iron, production rose by 18% year-on-year in the fiscal year ending March 2024 (FY24), according to Joint Plant Committee (JPC) data accessed by Kallanish.
This growth was predominantly driven by the coal-based route, which accounted for 81% of total output.
