India’s May flat steel imports surge remarkably
Indian flat steel imports surged a remarkable 60% on-year to 112,070 tonnes in May versus 70,040t imported a year ago, according to customs data monitored by Kallanish.
Posco Maharashtra Steel was by far the largest importer in May, with flat steel intake of 55,390t, which included 44,020t of hot rolled coil of 3mm or larger.
