Indonesia’s Delong commissions first second-phase furnace
Delong's ferronickel project in Indonesia has commissioned the first rotary kiln electric arc furnace (RKEF) for its second phase, Kallanish notes.
In the second phase, it plans to build 35 of the 33,000KVA RKEF lines, six 100-tonne AOD furnaces, a power plant and a 60 million tonnes/year capacity terminal. After the equipment is commissioned, the plant is expected to have 1.1m t/y of ferronickel capacity. Delong is also targeting stainless…
