Indonesia Delong hot tests second-phase slab caster
Jiangsu Delong Nickel’s Indonesian subsidiary, PT Obsidian Stainless Steel (OSS), has successfully hot tested a 1,600mm slab caster, which belongs to its Phase II stainless project, Kallanish notes.
The company had previously commissioned two billet casters (see Kallanish passim), and now has a capacity of 1.5 million tonnes/year of stainless steel. It expects to boost this to 2.5m t/y this year.
