Indonesia's Dexin hits 7mty steel capacity
Dexin Steel Indonesia has held a completion and commissioning ceremony for the first phase expansion project of its Indonesian steelworks on 19 September.
This means that the steelmaker has now boosted its capacity to 6 million tonnes/year of iron and 7mt/y of crude steel, with the commissioning of a new blast furance and converter, Kallanish notes. Dexin will thus expand its influence in ASEAN markets and will also enter flat steel markets.
