Iron ore flattens despite lower output
Seaborne iron ore prices were flat on Friday as the outlook for steel production remained firm despite a slight decline in mid-August. A pick up in steel inventories is putting steelmaker margins under pressure, but they will have to shrink further before mills limit output.
