Iron ore holds, Fitch forecasts low demand
Seaborne iron ore prices saw small fluctuations on Wednesday, with spot market activity virtually halted due to the holiday.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index and the KORE 65% Fe index lost $0.34/t and $0.17/t respectively on Wednesday to $126.21/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao and $139.15/dmt cfr. The KORE 58% Fe index meanwhile declined by $0.77/t to $115.56/dmt cfr. 170,000t of Carajas Fines were booked at $139.2/t with a laycan of 2-11 March.
