Iron ore jumps on sustained activity

Seaborne iron ore prices gained further on Tuesday as buying continued. The rebound in steel prices and firm Chinese economic data has restored short term confidence, but iron ore still faces a weak second half. The Kallanish index for 62% Fe Australian fines rose by $1.88 to $54.09/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao.
