Iron ore pauses, decline predicted
Seaborne iron ore prices steadied on Wednesday. Prices are still expected to be lower on average in 2022, but iron ore prices values elevated on hopes of higher steel output.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index inched $0.02/t lower to $122.84/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao. The Kallanish KORE 65% Fe index gained $0.31/t to $142.79/dmt cfr, and the KORE 58% Fe index slipped $0.61/t to $91.73/dmt cfr.
