Iron ore range bound as majors expand
Seaborne iron ore prices were essentially unchanged on Thursday. Despite iron ore prices and margins apparently close to peaking, it appears that major miners are not concerned with petty competition for markets.
The Kallanish index for 62% Fe Australian fines dipped $0.20/tonne to $72.54/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao. 210,000 tonnes of PB fines sold at $71.89/t with a laycan in 16-25 August. 190,000t of Vale’s Sinter Feed Low Alumina meanwhile sold at $…
