Iron ore price slides as inventories stall
Seaborne iron ore prices slipped a little further on Tuesday as buying remained much slower than that seen a week earlier. Meanwhile, Chinese port stocks fell very slightly over the last week but remain down from a year earlier.
The Kallanish index for 62% Fe Australian fines fell by $1.73 to $54.20/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao. 160,000 tonnes of Standard Sinter Feed Guiaba traded on globalORE for April delivery at a $3.15/t premium to a published index.
