Israel, Africa demand boosts Turkish rod exports
Turkish wire rod exports surged 44% on-year in November to 183,394 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value was $541.9/tonne versus $546.1/t in November 2017.
Exports of round rod below 14mm diameter comprised 132,222t. Israel, Morocco and Senegal sourced 24,409t, 14,500t and 10,224t respectively. A year earlier Israel and Senegal each took in over 7,000t, while Morocco sourced zero. Neverthe…
