Italian coil derivate prices increase in uncertain market
Sheet and tube prices are increasing following a long period of uncertainty and low sales, according to the Italian distribution sector.
Coil derivatives are feeling the squeeze of the past months’ production cuts and the lack of imports is contributing to sustaining prices. In December, sheet values went below the level of €700/tonne ($757/t), but have increased this month by €100/t in line with hiking coil prices.
