Italian steel output returns to decline in February
Italian crude steel output decreased in February by 3.9% year-on-year to 1.8 million tonnes, local steelmakers’ association Federacciai confirms.
In the first two months of the year, however, production ticked up by 0.5% on-year to 3.4mt. The increase is due to the 5.9% on-year hike registered in January, Federacciai says in a note obtained by Kallanish.
In February, there were “two different dynamics for the two hot rolled families of products”…
