Italian minister threatens Ilva closure in January
Carlo Calenda, the Italian minister for economic development, has threatened a possible halt in production at Ilva's Taranto integrated site from 9 January 2018. This is in reaction to the ongoing appeal from local politicians to the country’s high court, which the government wants to be withdrawn.
