Italian stainless scrap prices rise on costly feedstock
Italian stainless steel scrap prices are set to increase substantially in January, particularly for 316 grade, following the skyrocketing prices of molybdenum and particularly volatile nickel, sources tell Kallanish.
Both large and smaller stainless long and flat steelmakers are looking for material and intend to secure 304 and 316 either pure or in a blend mix, a less noble grade which is added to 304. These two qualities continue to be in short supply this month…
