Italian steel output falls further
The output of crude steel from Italian mills fell again in March following declines in January and February, according to local steelmakers' association Federacciai.
Last month crude steel production fell slightly, by -0.4% year-on-year to 2.2 million tonnes, Kallanish notes. In the first three months of 2019 crude steel output also declined, by -2.1% y-o-y to 6.2mt, the association confirms.
