Italian steel production declines in first quarter

After declining in February, Italian crude steel output fell again in March, by 12.6% year-on-year to 1.9 million tonnes, local steelmakers’ association Federacciai confirms. In the first quarter, production slipped by 4.5% on-year to 5.3mt, Federacciai says in a note obtained by Kallanish.
