Izhstal increases production, automotive shipments with upgrade
Miner and steelmaker Mechel's stainless steel arm, Izhstal, increased production in January-May after it completed a major overhaul of rolling mill 450. The line accounts for over 30% of the plant’s overall production, the company says.
In the first five month of the year the mill produced 57,000 tonnes of steel products, up by 6% on-year, Kallanish notes.
