Higher demand lifts Izhstal shipments
Miner and steelmaker Mechel's stainless steel arm, Izhstal, increased its sales in the fourth quarter of 2020, the company says.
The plant sold almost 96,000 tonnes of steel products, up by 13% on-quarter, Kallanish notes.
Izhstal's products – long steel, as well as cold-rolled strip – were shipped to the mechanical engineering, automotive, aircraft and rocket manufacturing, oil and mining sectors, and manufacturers of special equipment.
