Izhstal significantly increases exports in first quarter
The stainless steel arm of miner and steelmaker Mechel, Izhstal, increased its exports in January-March, the company says.
The plant sold over 20,000 tonnes of steel products to foreign customers over the quarter, up by 8% on-year, Kallanish notes. Exports were 21% of the total sales of the enterprise in Q1.
Izhstal exported 7,800t to non-CIS countries in the first quarter of 2021, which is 3.5 times more than in the same period last year. The plant exports…
