Italian crude steel output declines in January
The output of crude steel by Italian mills has fallen in January, according to the local steelmakers' association Federacciai.
Last month crude steel production fell slightly by -3.6% year-on-year to 1.9 million tonnes, Kallanish notes. The on-year fall at the start of 2019 is continuing a gradual decline in crude output seen in Italy during the last two years.
