January sees third rise in Egyptian rebar prices

Egyptian mills have increased their domestic rebar quotes for the third time in January. Major mills raised their quotes by 8-9% compared to last week, Kallanish learns. Market maker Ezz Steel, followed by major mills Suez and El Marakby, each raised their new 14% VAT-included ex-mill quotes to EGP 48,300/tonne, while El Garhy hiked to EGP 47,500/t.
