Japanese scrap moves up further
Japanese scrap prices continue to rise, Kallanish notes.
Hyundai Steel has increased Korean bidding prices for Japanese scrap in its latest auction held on 4 March. The company’s bid for Japanese H2 grade is JPY 43,500/tonne ($405/t) fob, JPY 1,000/t higher than Daehan Steel’s bid last week. In the same auction, Hyundai also bid for H1/H2 50:50 scrap at JPY 44,000/t, for shredded grade at JPY 47,500/t, and for HS/Shindachi Bara grades at JPY 48,50…
