Japan’s cross-border steel trade faces November headwinds
In November last year, Japanese exports and imports of iron and steel weakened on both month-on-month and year-on-year bases, Kallanish learns from the Japan Iron & Steel Federation.
Monthly exports of iron and steel products totalled 2.585 million tonnes, which was down 4% m-o-m and 7% y-o-y. 11-month exports however, were still 1.7% higher than a year earlier at 30.127mt.
