Japan's Kanto export tender attracts higher price
A recent Japanese monthly scrap export tender has seen prices firm over last month, Kallanish notes. Several overseas market participants deem the latest award price very high.
In Tuesday’s tender, the Kanto Tetsugen Cooperative Association awarded a 10,000-tonne parcel of H2 grade scrap at JPY 67,010/tonne ($533/t) fas. The award price is JPY 3,500/t higher than last month.
