JFE launches LNG-fuelled carrier for raw materials

JFE Steel has launched a 210,000-tonne-class LNG-fuelled carrier on 30 January for steelmaking raw materials transportation. The launch ceremony was held at Japan Marine United Corporation's Tsu Shipyard. The ship, named SG (Sail Green) OCEAN is set to transport iron ore and coal from overseas locations to JFE Steel's steelworks in Japan, Kallanish notes.
