JFE resumes rebar production at Kashima Works
Japanese steelmaker JFE Bars & Shapes will restart rebar production at its Kashima Works to shorten delivery times to customers in surrounding areas.
The first batch will ship in October this year, Kallanish notes.
Rebar produced with sizes between D19 and D51 has re-acquired JIS certification, which it held before the suspension. The steelmaker targets around 1,500 tonnes/month of output.
