JFE shuts down blast furnaces at Keihin plant
Major Japanese steelmaker JFE Steel will shut down its ironmaking and steelmaking processes at the Keihin plant of East Japan Steelworks from 16 September.
The closed facilities include blast furnaces, shaft furnaces, sintering equipment, coke ovens, converters, electric arc furnaces, continuous casters and other upstream ironmaking and steelmaking facilities.
