Jianlong operates hydrogen-based smelting reduction plant
Inner Mongolia Saisipu Technology Company (Saisipu), part of Jianlong Group, has commissioned its hydrogen-supported iron smelting reduction plant, Kallanish notes. The first batch of iron produced totals 156 tonnes.
Saisipu started stoking the smelting furnace from 26 March and ignited the furnace on 12 April. The project has the capacity to produce 300,000 tonnes/year of high-purity cast iron, with the use of 10,000 t/y of hydrogen. The project is loca…
